You can get free NHS Dental treatment if when the treatment starts you are:
- aged under 18
- aged 18 and in full time education,
- Pregnant or have had a baby within 12 months
- Receiving universal credit
- Receiving Income support
- Receiving Income based job seekers allowance
- Receiving Income related employment and support allowance
- Receiving Pension credit guarantee credit
- Named on a valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate
- Named on a valid HC2W certificate
- If you are named on an HC3W certificate you might get some help towards the cost of your dental treatment.
You get free NHS dental examinations if you are:
- Aged under 25 on the day you are examined in Wales
- Aged 60 or over on the day you are examined in Wales
- Any subsequent treatment as a result of the free examination carries the appropriate charge
